Vinnies is hosting their NSW Vinnies Community Sleepout to help alleviate poverty and homelessness in regional NSW.
On any given night in Australia, 1 in 200 people are experiencing homelessness. The Vinnies Community Sleepout is not only designed to help raise much needed funds, but to also raise awareness of the realities faced by people experiencing homelessness.
How the community sleepout works
On Friday 19 August 2022, participants across NSW will take part in an experiential event where they are given nothing more than a piece of cardboard, a cup of soup and bread for dinner and will brave the cold for one night.
The event allows participants to learn about some of the harsh realities faced by those experiencing homelessness and disadvantage.

Your support will go towards Vinnies Services and Programs in your area, providing vital access to food, crisis accommodation, case management and financial assistance to locals in their time of need.
